Certificate of deposit is a convenient saving instrument for you if you want to earn beforehand known interests by not freezing your savings. If you need money, you can sell certificate of deposit to the bank before the redemption term without forfeiting the accrued interest.

Features of certificate of deposit:
- Guaranteed income - by retaining the certificate of deposit till the end of term, beforehand known interests are earned. The certificate of deposit term is one year.
- You can choose the currency in which you want to accumulate - in Litas or Euro. The minimum purchase sum of certificate of deposit is 100 Litas or 100 Euro.
- Certificate of deposit is a liquid-saving product, because you are able to sell it or a part of it to the bank before the redemption term without forfeiting the accrued interest - the interests are paid for the actual retained term by deducting 30 days from it.
For example, if you retain the certificate of deposit for 180 days (around half year) starting from its effective date and decide to sell it to the bank before the redemption term, you will receive the initial invested sum as well as the accrued interest, accumulated during 150 days (180-30= 150 days).
- Interests received for the certificate of deposit are not imposed by the population income tax.
- It is possible to grant the certificate of deposit or in another way to transfer it to another person or company.
- To purchase certificates of deposit you can in all subdivisions of Bank SNORAS without the purchase price.
